For those of you who know her - Patti Smith would give you the shirt off her own back if you asked. That’s my mom, quick to give and slow to ask for help. Recently, my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 bladder cancer. She has been approved for a clinical trial to try and extend the quantity and quality of her life. While this is exciting news, money is tight and we have to travel to Seattle four times for treatment over the next four weeks. Seattle is 6 hours away from where we currently live and the cost of travel and hotels is more than we can currently afford. We estimate that we will need $2,000 for her to complete the study. This would cover the cost of gas, hotels, and food for each trip to the the Seattle Cancer Center. Without this treatment she will die within the next two years. We know that everyone is struggling, but any donation amount will help and we could really use it! Thank you.
