Hello everybody,

I'm in a scary situation and I could use all the help I can get to fight this battle!

I've been diagnosed with a terminal type of cancer, and they want to start immunotherapy right away for me to have any chance of survival.

This is the best treatment they offer in the world for the type of cancer I have, all the top hospitals use it,

Before I found this information, the only help offered was chemotherapy and a chance to live an extra 6 months to 1.5 years.

These days people are surviving "terminal" cancer. So I will stay positive, fight hard, and hope for miracles.

My cancer is called Transitional cell Carcinoma aka, Urothelial Carcinoma. At first I was told I had a kidney stone passing and to just take pain killers until it passes. It was hell for about 6 weeks, worst pain of my life everyday, over and over.

Long story short my wife and in-laws took me to the emergency, I had a CT scan and they told me I never had a stone, but that my kidney had failed and a strange mass was also found on the kidney, 3 days later they took the kidney and most of the tumor out, unfortunately it was partially attached to my aorta, so a little flesh from the tumor could not be removed for risk of cutting the aorta and I would bleed to death.

So, I'm trying to raise money to keep up with all the expenses. My insurance covers the cost for the treatment except for the $5,000 deductible, but their are so many expenses it doesn't cover.

Buying private insurance about 8 years ago was one of the smartest things I've ever done. Unfortunately all the drugs I need are not covered and not cheap, my nutritionist trying to keep me healthy, not cheap, lawyer fees, food, dog food, veterinarian bills and much more. I've gone through all of my savings and my mom and friends are helping out, but it's not easy keeping up with the expenses. I'm not giving up easy so this could be a long fight. I will keep everyone updated on this situation.

So many friends have reached out to me from my home away from home, Costa Rica as well as in the States, it's heart warming! I love and cherish all of you, growing up in HB was a blessing, although I've spent most of my time in Costa Rica lately, it's always like yesterday when I see my HB family, hope to see you soon!!
