I started to lose about 50%-60% of my vision. Then my face went numb. Then a constant pressure headache and severe dizziness. Then I lost my ability to walk without assistance. All within a couple weeks.

Now, with excess fluid and pressure around my brain, with no known cause, I’m lost. I don’t have time to grieve. Appointments, MRIs, paperwork, phone calls, trying to make sense of something I don’t even understand myself. Leaving my career that I spent a decade building.

I still have to pay out of pocket for my medical insurance, medical bills and household bills. Anyone that knows me, knows I am very independent and absolutely hate to ask for help. Anything is greatly appreciated, even if it’s kind words.

What’s next? Well hopefully I can find others that go through a similar struggle. I will work with my medical team to get answers and seek treatment. Stay strong, you’re not alone.
