Hi everyone, my name is Laila King and I’m reaching out during one of the hardest times of my life.

I have been battling serious health issues that have kept me in and out of the hospital, and I am currently undergoing treatments that make it impossible for me to work regular hours. Because I haven’t been able to meet the FMLA requirements at my job, they cannot accommodate me and my income has decreased and I can’t afford my rent.

I’m doing everything I can to stay strong and focus on my recovery, and I am now facing the risk of losing my home. I am actively looking for rental assistance and community resources, but the help available is very limited and slow.

I created this to ask for your support to help me cover rent, and transportation to my medical appointments while I fight to get back on my feet. Any donation, no matter the size, would mean the world to me and would help me stay safe, stable, and focused on healing.
