This is extremely hard for me to do. I’m not someone who likes to ask for help. I know everyone has their own challenges, and I never want to be a burden.

I’m asking for help to raise $5,500 to cover legal fees so I can continue advocating for what matters most to me ,my son.

I recently moved to Texas to be closer Cyrus hoping to strengthen our bond and be more involved in his daily life as it was extremely difficult to do from Tennessee.

Unfortunately, his father has filed to modify our existing custody arrangement, requesting full and sole decision-making rights, child support and to pay his lawyer fees.

Until now, we’ve successfully shared 50/50 custody ,with no child support involved.

The requests made in that filing could significantly limit my ability to participate in major decisions for Cyrus, and could also create new financial obligations that I simply cannot afford on my own right now.

As a mother, I’m doing everything I can to stay involved in my son’s life and to ensure his best interests are protected. I live paycheck to paycheck at the moment and have exhausted every legal aid and pro bono resource available in my area. Unfortunately, due to high demand, none have been able to take my case.

I have always supported Cyrus having a relationship with both of his parents. I’ve never wanted to take that away from him, I just want the chance to continue being his mom in every way that matters.

All funds raised will go directly toward retaining a family law attorney who can help ensure that my rights and my son’s best interests are protected throughout this process.
