Life changed in an instant. My mom was visiting Palma de Mallorca when she suddenly fell and suffered severe head trauma. Within hours, doctors had to perform emergency brain surgery to save her life. They told us they had never seen trauma like this from a fall—it was shocking and devastating.

When I got the call, I had less than an hour to pack and get on a plane. I left my children, my business, and my entire life at home because my mom needed me by her side.

Now I am here in Spain, living day to day while she fights her way through recovery. The reality is that I will likely be here for weeks, maybe months, and in that time my family back home is trying to hold things together as best they can.

My business is still running, but only at about half of its normal capacity without me there to manage it. Other family members are helping, and I am deeply grateful for that—but it’s simply not enough to sustain us long term.

This is not just about hospital bills. It’s about keeping our family stable during a crisis. It’s about making sure my kids have what they need, covering bills that don’t stop, and giving me the ability to stay with my mom as she heals.
