Fighting for Linda Viramontes
Donation protected
On the morning of Saturday, January 25, 2020, sister, friend, and mother Linda Viramontes, as usual, woke her daughter, Arial, to take her to Basketball practice. As they were getting ready to head out the door, Linda had a stroke. Arial called 911 and the ambulance rushed her to a Hospital. At this time, doctors cannot explain to us why a healthy 38-year-old would suffer a stroke. They are working to stabilize her and have removed a portion of her skull to help reduce her brain swelling. It seems that Linda is responding at times, but she is heavily medicated and has all sorts of tubes and IVs, so we don’t know what she is understanding or feeling.
Linda’s older sister, Jessica, is doing her best to hold things together for Linda’s two daughters, Ariel and Alina. Ensuring Linda’s well-being and care from here on out is up to Jessica, as Linda and Jessica’s father passed away in accident many years ago, and despite raising four children in the United States, their mother was undocumented and a few years ago felt that she had no choice but to return to Mexico. Linda and Jessica live together in a modest apartment in Norwalk and they help support each other and take care of the girls. We are seeking to raise funds to help cover rent and expenses so that Jessica can stay by her sister’s side as long as possible. (Jessica started a new job just a few months ago and does not have sick time to allow her paid time off). Please help us show love and support to this family in need!
Linda is a fighter and we know she's going to come out of this! We appreciate the love and support everyone has given and continues to give Linda and her family.
