Hi, my name is Nikki and I am fundraising for my having to stay out of work and care for my son. He is currently intubated and will be hospitalized for several months. Your donations will allow me to stay right by his side through this long journey. It will also ease the financial stress as I will be out of work for several months.

My son had been sick for a while. After consulting with doctors and in and out of ER, no one really helped or assessed him properly until one day he began to have seizures. When taken to ER, a CT scan was done and it was found that his brain was swollen. He was airlifted to a more advanced hospital where it was confirmed he had a blood clot on his brain and whatever caused it was aggressive. Within a day, he lost feeling on his left side and ended up incoherent. Quickly it escalated to him being unresponsive and I was given the choice of death or brain surgery that may or may not work. The surgery was successful, however, finding the cause and trying to cure the reason for this has been a struggle. Doctors are working diligently and trying different things as this may be a rare case. He is on the road to recovery, but the journey will be long.
