Fighting for Karri Wingett

It is with a hopeful heart that we write to request your donation for the cancer treatment of Karri Wingett a loving Wife, Mother, Mimi, Daughter, Sister, Friend, and childcare provider to many kids over the past 28 years.  

She was diagnosed with Stage IV Colorectal Cancer in December 2019.

This was only the beginning of her cancer journey.  

 

In Jan 2020 she started Chemotherapy,

Oct 2020 Chemo & Radiation Treatment for lungs (surgery was not an option)

Dec 16, 2020 Cancer Free!

One year later in Dec 2021 New Cancer Diagnosis Brain tumor 4x5 cm -the cancer from her colon moved to  her brain.  

Dec 2021 Brain tumor resection (surgery) – surgery deemed a success; they removed the entire tumor

Jan 2022 Diagnosed with COVID after brain surgery

Jan 2022 Car accident, totaled her car

April 2022 New lesions returned on her brain; in the same spot they were removed from in December (the cancer was back).  She started an intense 2-week radiation therapy treatment.

May 2022 She underwent her last radiation treatment.

We learned in July 2022 a new tumor has grown and its larger than the tumor they removed in December.  It must be surgically removed. Surgery scheduled for 8/3/2022.
