Fighting for Jose
Hi my name is Adrian, and in June 2021 my husband Jose was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin's lymphoma. The cancer ravaged his body quickly. He ended up in the hospital twice in one month, rushing the process to begin chemotherapy immediately. He has responded well to his treatment. He's making good progress and feeling better, with all things considered. He is still extremely fragile and we have a long road ahead of us.
He's dealt with fluid in his chest, causing him a partially collapsed lung. That lead to shortness of breath as well as extreme back pain and elevated heart rate. After having the fluid drained weekly for over 2 months, the fluid seems to have stopped producing! We are watching to see if his lung will refill on its own, thankfully his heart rate is returning to normal again. He lost well over 20lbs, and is now in the process of finally regaining weight and building back his strength.
Jose's oncologist is anticipating that he will face a total of 6 to 8 cycles of treatment. He is confident that Jose will have a full recovery, and beat the cancer! Jose has been so positive and brave facing this head on. Jose has sacrificed so much and given so much for our son Vincnet and myself over the years. Working hard being the sole income provider, giving us a wonderful life. Leaving us with no need unmet.
Fighting cancer brings so much stress and uncertainty. It seems evertime we get caught up with bills and start to move forward, there comes a new round. So that Jose can focus on healing and enjoying the good days with his family, we are asking for financial help so he's not worrying about medical bills and keeping the roof over our head. We truly appreciate any help we get!
