On April 6th, 2019 Jessica Nicole Alva
passed after being in a coma for 4 days, as a result of an abusive domestic relationship. Jessica just turned 35 on January 19th and was in the prime of her life.
Jessica gave life to 6 beautiful children Brianna
(7) and Anthony
(6). She is survived by her mother Cindy
, father Joseph
, Brothers Joe
, and Sisters Trina
. We are raising funds to help with expenses related to her loss of life and a TRUST fund that will benefit the children for education and extracurricular activities.
Jessica was a fighter and she never knew when to give up. She did this with all aspects of her life. She fought for the many causes that she believed in; Save the Planet, Native American Rights, Woman’s Rights, Justice System reform; etc. She was at events that brought the community together and when she believed that justice was not moving in a direction she supported, she made her voice heard. She worked at the Friendship House providing support for participants in the program to overcome their addictions. She worked with people of all walks of life, from the homeless drug addicts, all the way to San Francisco’s Mayor London Breed.
Jessica had this same mentality with her relationships. She believed she could love so strong that she could change an evil being. She would never give up, even when she knew it was dangerous, she was the most stubborn person I have ever met. Jessica tried for too long and it cost her dearly. Jessica wanted to leave and it became apparent in her journal, she was done and she had made a choice to put her children first.
Sometimes, the right decision can cost you everything. The last entry in her journal was a to-do list and the last line was:“talk to kids about our future…”
My name is Anthony Alva and Jessica is my sister. My gift to her is this campaign. My family and I are raising funds so her children may experience a life full of opportunity and wonder. No amount of funds will ever ease the pain and loss, but it is a gift that when used will remind them of their mothers love and what she was able to pass on to them. After necessary costs, all funds will be placed in a TRUST account for the children's education.
This has been a very trying time for my family. The out-pour of support has been overwhelming and the amount of people who have given what they can to support this fund is astonishing. We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Let us remember #justice4Jessica
