Help Ashley Fight for 11 Year Old Jayden's Life

Just a couple months ago Jayden McWilliams was a healthy happy eleven-year-old boy, active and carefree--doing what he liked most--playing basketball.  When Jayden began to experience pain and swelling in the second toe of his right foot, his mother Ashley took him to the doctor.  What initially appeared to be a simple sports related injury turned out to be something far more serious. Jayden was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare life-threatening childhood bone cancer that afflicts 200 children in the United States annually. 


Since the diagnosis in May 2019, Jayden's carefree days on the basketball court have been exchanged for days in the hospital, receiving chemotherapy treatments. Jayden has several more weeks of chemo, after which he will have surgery to remove his toe, followed by even more chemo.    


Jayden's loving and dedicated mom, Ashley, is doing all she can to be there for her son, but as a single mother of two, she cannot afford to take time off work.  She must work 30 hours a week at her job as an IV Technician at PharMerica in order to keep her health insurance benefits to pay for Jayden's treatment.   What little time she does spend with Jayden, after having reduced her work hours from 40 to 30 hours a week, is coming at a financial cost she cannot bear.  After missing car payments, her car was repossessed in the last week of June.   The cost of Lyft/Uber transportation for work is $80 daily, and her paycheck is only $600 every 2 weeks. "Ashley's paying to work!" as a coworker put it.  Needless to say, Ashley is sinking financially and with the growing demands of taking care of Jayden on his non-chemo days, she's at risk of losing her job.  


Please help us raise funds to help Ashley manage the basic necessities--medical, grocery, car and house bills.  We can't relieve the heartache and worry this mom is suffering as her brave little boy fights cancer, but we can help relieve the financial burden that is taking her down.
