Fighting for his life, Mom would never ask 4 help

Hello my name is Pearl.

I've started a handful of GoFundMe's but never any that have hit so close to home. 

My good friend Christina Cook is sitting by her son Chase's side as he fights for life.

Im going to start with Christina who is currently living through a parent's worst nightmare.

Christina: a God fearing women, truly a good person, an unbelievably dedicated Mother who brings an incredible light into our dimming world. These last 2 years have been such a roller coaster of life for her and her family.

She is in the middle of a very long SA case in prosecuting the offender of her 2 daughters, which is leaving her stuck in Vegas utill the case is closed. 

Her mother who was hit by a car months back leaving her disabled and in a wheel chair. Christina has been facilitating her Moms housing and medical needs while still in Vegas.

Her Vegas rental has flooded twice in recent months and they barely moved back into their home from hoteling it during construction.

All of this on top of mothering her 5 kids, working 2 job and holding down the house and finances.

Now this life altering emergency!!!

Christina is a Bay Area local, having no family out in Vegas, Chase her oldest, has been a massive support to her and her younger 4 children.

As I write this out... all I can see in my head is a vivid memory/image of Christina pregnant with Chase 20years ago, glowing with anticipation to meet her growing child, as I visited her at work in the candy shop in downtown Los Gatos.

This is devastating.

Chase, this kid has ALWAYS been a special one. He's a sweet soul, funny, kind, intuitive to others needs.... and he really does make the best most 'loving' PB&J's. SO, SO, SO proud of the young man he is. As the oldest of 5 to a single Mom he has always taken it upon himself to unburden his Mom of any/everything he can. Being a natural provider he'd walk all the way to pick up his siblings up from school.... Never complaining or making it a deal of any sort to care for his sibling, he loves them and would do anything for them. 

He recently got a car and said to me how excited he was to have a car/job because he was going to be able to spoil his sibling this Christmas.

Both Christina and Chase are givers! We are in a moment that they need to be on the receiving end.

All that and I almost forgot to share the emergency. Chase and a friend went on a hike. On the way home they hit some gravel going only 20mph. They went down a 15ft cliff. The friend has a long road to recovery but all is looking up for him. Chase on the other hand is in a coma. The outlook is not great at the moment but like I said we are praying for a miracle.
