Fighting For Felicia

Hi, my name is Natalie Fetsch and this fundraiser is to raise financial support for Felicia's medical costs for cancer treatment and surgery.

Felicia is a precious friend of mine, who has a heart and passion to help people. We met while getting our master's in counseling. Felicia currently works as a crisis counselor, and she actively seeks to understand and help victims of trauma. Her heart for people includes being an amazing listener and an empathetic friend. Felicia loves her family and gives to all those who surround her. She recently moved back to Texas from the state of Washington to be closer to family and friends.

Over a year ago, Felicia noticed what she thought were "abnormal feelings" in her left breast. She was told by her doctors at the time that everything was fine. Once back in Texas, her primary doctor ordered her a mammogram as a precautionary measure. Ironically, the mammogram detected cancer in her right breast tissue and Felicia was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma. Thankfully, because of her doctor's urgent, thorough nature and Felicia's persistence, they were able to find the cancer in its early stages.

Felicia underwent a lumpectomy this past Friday, June 9th, to remove the tumor and biopsy the tissue around the cancer site. The pathology of this procedure will determine what the next steps in treatment are for Felicia. Counseling and working in the mental health field does not provide excess income and yet medical costs for surgery and cancer treatment are exorbitant and can be overwhelming.
