Fighting for Family
Anyone who knows me, knows I would do anything for my sister and nieces. As a family, we support each other no matter what and would not typically ask for outside help. Many people know the struggles Lisa has faced in recent years; however many of you do not as she is very private. Looking at her, you would see a happy, strong, loving, mother and teacher who would do anything for her daughters, family, and students. I want to share a piece of her story, as I see the ongoing challenges she faces daily. Lisa would never ask for help, but I have come to a point where I see she desperately needs it.
Four years ago, Lisa found the strength to leave a marriage even though she was left unemployed with 2 young children after being a stay-at-home mom for 6 years. She resumed her teaching career and got back on her feet.
The past 4 years have been filled with constant chaos. This has caused legal bill after legal bill and pushed her further and further behind financially. Lisa needs financial assistance to pay these ongoing legal bills and finally get some peace.
During this time, Lisa's daughter was diagnosed with ADHD, OCD, and bipolar mood disorder. Because of trauma experienced, the diagnosis has been compounded to include: ODD, PTSD, and an anxiety disorder.
She is in weekly therapy and takes medication. Since 2013, she has had 4 acute phsyciatric hospital stays, 2 of which began in ambulances and emergency room visits.
Lisa's exhusband has filed multiple complaints against Lisa, doctors, therapists: anyone who has tried to help Lisa and her family heal and move forward.
This puts more strain on the family, financially and emotionally.
Lisa is an amazing sister, mother, friend, teacher, and all-around person. She deserves to finally find peace and comfort. All donations would help Lisa pay her legal bills and medical bills for her daughter. I am asking that you please consider helping my sister however you can.
