My name is Courtney and I am a friend and co worker of Stephanie Sharrone. Stephanie is the most devoted mother I know. She is involved in the PTA, Destanie’s dance troop and so much more.

On February 11, Stephanie’s daughter, Destanie, 8 years old, went to the doctor for what was thought to be a sinus infection. In a few short days Destanie has been diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She is currently in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Brenner’s. Destanie is one of the most vivacious souls I have ever met. This little girl can talk a mile a minute! She is currently on a ventilator to help her breathe and fight pneumonia, she has a central line to help her receive Chemo, meds, platelets, and blood products. Destine and her family have one hell of a fight in front of them, but I have no doubt that cancer messed with the wrong people!

Once Destanie is strong enough her treatment plan will be going full force. Sweet Destanie will be receiving 2 spinal taps weekly for a month and 2.5 years of Chemo.
