Hello friends and family,My name is Karen Chen. I am a mother and a naturalized American citizen living in San Leandro, CA.
Over the past couple months, many of my friends and I have become increasingly concerned about the growing harm to our civil liberties and our new administration's open disregard of the separation of powers. President Trump's actions have troubled us to the extent that we, a group of ladies from the East Bay Area in Northern California, feel the need to voice our opinion to our representatives in Washington.
We are asking for your help to raise funds to purchase postcards and postage to help the local grassroots efforts in a postcard-writing campaign to prevent President Trump's extreme policies from dismantling our democracy.
The $6,000 raised from this campaign will allow the concerned citizens of East Bay to send thousands of postcards to our Senators, Representatives, President Trump, and his advisors, putting continuous pressure on our politicians to protect our civil liberties and maintain checks and balances within our government.
Your contributions will be used:
- To provide postcards and stamps for the postcard-writing campaign.
- To reach as many key politicians as we can.
- To ensure that the postcard writing campaign will continue for as long as necessary.
