Fighting for Damien: Our Turn to Be There for Him

Damien Downes, a cherished member of the Fireside family, has always been there for us—now it’s our turn to be there for him. Damien was recently diagnosed with advanced lymphoma, and he is facing an incredibly tough road ahead. As he begins treatment, he won’t be able to work the way he used to, and he’ll need support to cover mounting medical and living expenses.

Damien has been more than just a loyal Fireside employee—he’s like family to the Mulligans and to so many in the Woodlawn community. He’s spent countless holidays and special events with us over the years, becoming a true part of our lives and our hearts. For over 10 years, Damien has shown up with heart, humor, and an unmatched work ethic. He’s the first to lend a hand, share a laugh, and bring people together. Even now, while he’s currently facing this challenge in the hospital, Damien shows incredible strength and resilience. He is tough, never backing down from difficult times, and we will always stand by his side, no matter what.

Let’s rally around him in his time of need and show him the same love and loyalty he’s given to so many. Any contribution, big or small, will go directly toward helping Damien focus on his health without the added weight of financial stress.
