Fighting for Cade Austin

On March 18th 2023, Cade Austin Thompson was born to his incredible parents, Trent and Jen.

During labor, baby Cade’s heart stopped beating and was therefore rushed into an emergency C-section. From there, his medical staff had to perform life saving measures in order to get a heart beat. After a blood transfusion and CPR to resuscitate him, he was able to get enough of a heart beat and was immediately intubated and hooked to monitors.

Without oxygen to baby Cades brain for a period of time, there is uncertainty of how much brain activity he has. He has failed 3 neuro tests and we are currently waiting for his MRI (scheduled 3/25) to be performed. They will be discharged this Tuesday while Cade remains in the NICU.

I have created this campaign in an effort to keep friends & family informed during this process. Money is the very last thing we want them to worry about so we hope this will help them be able to focus on Cade, rather than their hospital bills.

We ask that you respect their privacy at this time as they navigate these next few weeks. His parents are so strong and they are willing to do whatever they can to keep their baby fighting.

We know miracles can happen and we are praying that he will be on the receiving end of this one!!
