Hello everyone, my name is Nikki Minor I'm here to try and help my sister Britney Reavis raise money for medical expenses. Since the beginning of February, she has been fighting an illness that is literally attacking her organs one by one. She has always been healthy until now, so this has come out of nowhere. She dropped her insurance due to an increase in price and not having any major medical conditions; it seemed like the best thing to do at the time. Life has a funny way of throwing us curveballs out of nowhere, and on February 4th, she got hit with one that neither herself nor doctors know where it came from. On February 4th, she woke up with 25 pounds of fluid in her body that were bursting capillaries in her skin, and her health immediately began declining. Britney's doctors are working diligently to find the cause of all of this. My sister has had numerous tests and scans, and the only thing we know so far is that she is in stage four kidney failure, her thyroid has lost function and continues to worsen each day, her liver is now showing signs of damage, as well as her heart. The doctors have found a mass on her breast as well as on her pancreas, but as of now, the main goal is to get her kidneys functioning and then figure out what caused them to fail in the first place before checking her pancreas and the mass on her breast. The next step in this process is getting a biopsy of her kidneys to hopefully shed light as to why her organs are failing.

My sister is a single mother who, before all this happened, worked full-time as an elementary librarian paraprofessional, as well as a full-time college student. Since she has had to stop working per her doctor's orders until the doctors are able to figure out why this happened so suddenly. All that said, I'm asking for help for my sister because if you know her, she is always there to help others no matter if she has it or not. I figure if we are able to come together and give a little it would help her not have so much to worry about. I know her and I know she has been researching everything trying to figure out every possible outcome and even though she has faith in everything God can do I know it's still taking a toll on her. She is not one to ask for help in any way so I'm doing it for her. I love this girl so much and it pains me to see her going through this. I know the Lord will use this trial as a testimony for her and others on the amazing things he can do and how he works through others. I'm hoping with this go fund me it can bless her with the funds needed for further medical testing, treatment, and to cover expenses in the meantime as she is unable to work during this time. I don’t know why any of this is happening, but I know the Lord knows and will make a way for her to be healthy again. I pray he leads the doctors to the problem, and she is able to be healed completely. Until then, I have to rely on Him to give her strength through this and to remain positive by remembering everything He has brought her through up to this point.
