Isaiah James was born Sunday, April 12th at 5:00pm via C-Section. After a long birth we were so joyful to welcome this beautiful baby boy!
After being released from the hospital mom noticed he had jaundice and began to become lethargic . 4-day old Isaiah was admitted to the NICU with a slight fever which eventually turned into seizures.
At 5-days old they transported Isaiah to OHSU to receive more specialized care, for seizures and brain monitoring, in their Neuro Neonatal Department. There they were able to run more test and conduct an MRI.
The MRI showed a bright spot and the extent of the damage is still unknown due to his age but it could range from blindness to delayed development to seizures for the rest of his life.
Right now we are sitting in the unknown of this diagnosis and medical costs for now and the future.
Due to Covid-19 OHSU is not allowing anyone but Amber to care for Isaiah in the hospital. Amber and Isaiah are fighting this together as we are unable to support them physically, so we would love to help support them financially. Please consider joining us in the fight for Isaiah James!
**During this time we are asking that you don't reach out to Amber directly. Please message a team organizer (Her mom or sister) and they will get back to you. Our desire is to take as much off of Amber as we can, as she recovers and cares for sweet baby boy Isaiah.
