On August 11, 2021, Asher lost his oldest brother. The next day, Asher was told he possibly had germ cell cancer. A week later, he was officially diagnosed with stage three germ cell cancer. His 20-year-old mind could not fathom having the big "C." It was just 10 years ago that he lost his Nana to stomach cancer. And a few years before that, he lost his other grandmother to brain cancer. "Why was this happening to him?" he thought, especially at his age. But he, coming from a family that LOVES him with every fiber of their being, knew he'd get through this. Now his family is coming together to fight for Asher. He has endured an intense week of chemo beginning at 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. He was the only 20 year-old in the cancer ward. He battled nausea, body aches, and loss of appetite. But nonetheless, he battled on because of the will the Lord bestowed upon him. Many, many prayers have gone up for Asher. Many prayer warriors have gone into battle through prayer for him.
