On Tuesday, October 18th, 2-week-old Archer was not eating well and didn't seem to be himself. Travis & Nicole brought him to Avera-Sioux Falls to be evaluated. After many tests and labs, he was diagnosed with rhinovirus & viral meningitis and was admitted to the Avera PICU. Early Wednesday morning his condition declined, and he was airlifted to Children's Hospital in Minneapolis. He is currently admitted to the Cardiac ICU in critical condition. The infection has affected his heart function, and he was diagnosed with myocarditis (inflammation of the heart tissue). He is currently intubated and his heart function is being monitored daily.

His twin sister, Hazel, and big brother, Dawson, are being cared for by family during this difficult time.
