Fighting Eviction While Facing a Medical Crisis

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jaylah, and I’m a 25-year-old woman currently in the hospital due to serious complications from diabetes. I’ve been here since last Thursday, and doctors are still trying to decide whether or not they will need to amputate one of my toes. Because of the severity of my condition, I’ve been told I shouldn’t be in my feet too much for weeks—even after I’m discharged. That also means I won’t be able to return to work, leaving me with no current way to earn income until I am able to obtain a WFH job or something of that nature.

On top of this medical crisis, I’m now facing the possibility of eviction. My apartment complex is moving forward with the process due to nonpayment. I fell behind on rent after my main source of income shut down and other jobs failed to pay me what I was promised.

Right now, I have one week to come up with the funds to stop the eviction. I’m doing everything I can to stay strong, but I can’t do this alone.

I’m asking for help to raise the money to pay my leasing office and avoid losing my home. This apartment is my safe and stable place that I’ll have to recover once I’m released from the hospital.

Anything you can contribute—no matter how big or small—will help more than you know. And if you’re not in a position to donate, please consider sharing this with others who might be able to help.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, your support, and your prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

With gratitude,
Jaylah
