Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Compassionate Strangers,
Kylee is an incredibly brave and spirited young woman who's facing the challenge of a lifetime - esophageal cancer.
At the young age of 24, Kylee should be embracing all the joys and adventures that life has to offer. Instead, she's found herself on a difficult journey, battling this rare and aggressive disease with unwavering determination.
Kylee's journey this far.
Hello my name is Kylee. I am 24 years old, born and raised in Utah. I have two pups that are my world. Besides being with them, I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends, going to the gym and painting in my free time. On July 3rd I received the most devastating news a "healthy" 24 year old could receive. I was told that I have Squamous cell carcinoma, also known as Esophageal cancer stage 2A/3. After my diagnosis I was referred to multiple oncologist's and each doctor I saw could not believe the kind of cancer that I have at such a young age, as well as the location of it. I have been told time and time again that I'm in a very rare and unusual circumstance, which has been extremely difficult news to hear. My treatment consists of radiation every day, as well as chemo once a week for the next six weeks. After I complete chemo and radiation I will need a complicated surgery. I am in the process of finding an experienced surgeon who will be able to do the surgery successfully. Since there aren't qualified surgeons in Utah, I will need to travel out of state for my surgery and will be there for at least two weeks, possibly more, to make sure that there are no complications. I have had to step away from a normal life routine, as well as work, so I can get back to where I need to be. I am extremely grateful for the love and support from everyone who have reached out during this very difficult time. My journey to fight this cancer is just beginning and the medical bills are stacking up already, which adds a heavy burden of stress, anxiety and worry on myself, distracting my focus from my treatments and fighting this cancer. Any donation toward my road to recovery is greatly appreciated and means the world to me as I'm going to beat this!
