Fighting Cancer with Love & Support
Donation protected
Jonathan Bachman has been fighting cancer since 2018 and he needs our help to win the war.
He is the husband of my best friend Robynn, a father to 3 wonderful kiddos, and a "spiritual father" to hundreds of college students in Sarasota/Bradenton, FL where he serves alongside Robynn as a full time minister on 4 college campuses.
In 2018 he had a cancerous tumor removed and later scans showed he was all clear. However, around Christmas 2019 he experienced severe pain and learned he had another cancerous tumor. It was removed on March 3, 2020 just before the world was hit with the news of COVID-19. We praise God his surgery was that week.
Unfortunately, his post-op tests came back with disturbing news. The cancer, though caught early, had already started to spread to his lymph nodes and it was clear that this time he would need chemotherapy.
The cancer is expected to be completely cured by this treatment and the prognosis is very good. The down side is, it's chemotherapy--killing cancer cells and wearing down the immune system at the same time, making it more stressful in this time of COVID-19.
Jonathan hopes to finish his last cycle of chemotherapy this August. They have to wait 6 weeks to repeat blood work and scans to confirm that the cancer has been completely destroyed.
Please consider donating to remove the financial worries that come with extensive cancer treatments during a pandemic, and give Jonathan and his family a sense of peace in the midst of hard times.
They are already dealing with large medical bills and there are expenses with the treatment as well. These funds will help Jonathan with previous and future treatments, surgeries, chemotherapy, child care and transportation.
I've been so encouraged to witness their faith in God and trust in His sovereignty throughout this trial. Let's show them we're standing with them and they are not alone in this fight!
