Hi, my name is Shanna, and I never thought I'd be writing something like this.
A short time ago, my husband, Shawn was diagnosed with cancer. It feels surreal to say those words out loud. We've always tried to be strong, handle things on our own, and keep moving forward no matter what life throws our way- but this has been a different kind of fight.
Between doctor visits, test, treatments, and just trying to stay on top of things, the financial toll has hit hard. Although we currently have health insurance, it does not cover everything. We're currently facing growing medical bills, transportation cost, and the reality that Shawn may not be able to work like he used to while he focuses on healing.
We are not the kind of people who ask for help easily, but we've come to a place where we have to open our hearts and lean on others. If you're able to give- even a few dollars- it would go directly toward medical expenses, prescriptions, basic living cost, and getting Shawn to and from treatment.
