Fighting cancer with Faraz Hasan

Dear Friends and Family,
My brother-in-law Faraz Hasan was diagnosed with cancer in January 2019. He had already been undergoing tests and procedures for other ailments since July 2018, and initial diagnosis by doctors did not discover cancer. Cancer remained undetected for what is now estimated is almost 1 year. In January 2019, he had severe stomach cramps and was admitted in an emergency on 22nd January 2019.
A series of tests and different procedures over the following week revealed tumors, which were classified as late stage 3 colon cancer with TNM scale of T4b N3 M0. Following this discovery, Faraz immediately took to scheduling appointments with recognized institutions and doctors. With different tests taking place, another 2 weeks passed before the final picture was established. Amazingly Faraz never panicked or lost hope. He remained positive throughout and joked about his "tumor with humor". Doctors and people around him were surprised at the overwhelmingly positive attitude and the jokes about anything and everything. Faraz and the family remained positive and continued praying.
On 22nd February, Faraz was admitted to Masood Hospital in Lahore and there he underwent pre-op procedures for 2 days before the final surgery on 24th February 2019. He came out of the ICU on the evening of the third day. It took 3 weeks to complete his recovery from surgery and on 2nd April 2019, he began the first chemotherapy session.
The family insurance only covers a total of US$2,000/year which has already been consumed in the initial diagnosis. Since then all medical expenses have been out of pocket. His chemotherapy and treatment are estimated a US$10,000 for the first 6 months. Costs after this initial period are as yet unknown and will be based entirely on how the first 6 months session goes.
