Fighting Cancer; Tabitha’s Battles

Hi, my name is Katy Kendrick and I started this Go Fund Me to help my best friend/soul sister, Tabitha Battles, in hopes people would be generous to help with her ongoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment and costs.

Tabitha, in March 2021, battled ovarian cancer along with a full hysterectomy. Thankfully, with many blessings the ovarian cancer did not metastasize and was defeated with the procedure.

In February 2022 she packed up and moved to the midwest, far from home and family, with her 4 pups for an amazing job opportunity. Continuing with follow up appointments once she settled in they noticed a lump in her breast and swelling in the lymph nodes. After many more appointments, tests, and biopsies they confirmed and diagnosed her with stage 2 breast cancer. No person would have thought she would be battling cancer again within a 1 year period.

Tabitha is an intelligent, wonderful, and responsible woman. She would do anything to help others and has always saved for emergency situations. Thus far she has paid her way through her previous surgery and now the first round of the new chemo/radiation treatment and other costs that come along with it. She is fiercely independent and cost efficient but there is more treatment planned and more costs ahead. Up until recently she was actively working full time but as time goes on and her sickness takes hold and progresses she will be on a reduced income. Even with working full time, treatment along with other medications and appointments have been and will continue to be very costly.

She has done a wonderful job of being strong, fighting her battles, and paving her own way- but no one could accurately prepare for the amount of money a person would need to fight cancer twice in a year's time. She should not have to worry about the extra expenses and reduced income while bravely going through treatment.

I am hoping for those that feel it in their heart and have the ability to do so wish to help. A small donation by a vast number of people would help tremendously. The goal set has been calculated based on out of pocket treatment cost, medication cost, and the probable surgery cost.

Tabitha is one of the best people on the planet. She is always willing to love with her whole heart and her happiness shines in everyone around her. She's the first person to put a smile on someone’s face or give them the shirt off her back. She is priceless.
