Fighting Cancer - For Pete's Sake!

The Muratore Family needs our help!
Peter Muratore, who many of you call your friend, family or neighbor, has been recently diagnosed with a Stage 3 Cancer. As you can imagine, he has a long road ahead of him. Father of two elementary school-aged boys and husband to a lovely wife, he is presently undergoing radiation treatments and chemotherapy to prepare for surgery. As Pete says, “I got this,” and will beat this horrible disease with the help and support of family and friends.
Since Pete’s diagnosis, his many family members, friends, colleagues and community members have rallied to ask what can they do? There is something! In addition to prayers, we all want to send baskets and gift cards of course, and those items are always endearing, appreciated and thoughtful. We thought another way to support and show our love, as the outpouring of concern has come in, is to raise funds that the family can use directly for their specific needs - whether it be treatments, cancer-friendly comfy clothing, child care and such. We have therefore started this GoFundMe campaign.
Pete has strong roots in Smithtown and Hauppage as he was born and raised here. He still lives in his childhood home, only now with his wife Kari and two little boys, Peter 7 and Lorenzo 5. They are ready to fight this battle to the end...and win! We are hopeful we can all help them get through this.
A charismatic, outgoing man with a heart of gold, Pete has so many friends in his corner. He and his family are always the first ones to step up and lend a hand to anyone who needs it. It’s our time to come together to help Pete and his family. Please reach out, even with a positive thought or prayer, to help this family out.
