FIGHTING CANCER FOR GARRISON

2 months ago Angela & Doug McAfee's youngest son Garrison went to the Dr for pain in his stomach. They ruled it a kidney stone & sent him home. Last week the pain returned, but this time much worse. After many scans and MRI's they found that the "stone" had grown to 4x it's size and determined that it was a tumor on the renal vein where it's attached to his kidney. Biopsies of lymph nodes have tested positive for stage 4 kidney cancer that has already progressed to his stomach and lungs. As of today they are waiting to have bone scans done. If the scans are positive surgery may not be an option and the next step will be to travel to MD Anderson. Sadly the McAfee family are no strangers at MDA as Angela has made that journey numerous times while fighting her metastatic breast cancer.
