My beloved Brutus Callahan  has cancer. This news was absolutely devastating to our family, but Jeff and I are doing what we can to understand the severity of his diagnosis, as well as the options for moving forward. 

[Update 4/24/19]

Here's what we do know:
- He has tumors in his anal gland, sublumbar lymphnodes and chest cavity
- Surgery isn't an option unless chemo shrinks the tumors enough (if we removed the tumors around his anal glands, he wouldn't be able to control his bowels

What's next? We have started CBD oil treatment at home + start chemo treatment this week. 

Since he has not shown any signs of slowing down or being in pain, I really want to keep fighting for him. The expense of doing so is weighing on me as I work to pay off my own medical debt. Which is where this gofundme campaign comes in. 

We spent $2,000 to diagnose his cancer + locate all of the tumors in his body. The expense now is $1,500 a month in chemo + bloodwork for the rest of his life.

Having some help with these costs would mean the world to me, Jeff and Brutus. He is truly my once-in-a-lifetime dog and I am hopeful that I can have a few more years with him as we fight his cancer together. 

Any money contributed to Brutus will go directly to vet bills. Jeff and I will grab him a pizza or some Culver's custard for him on the really rough days, CBD oil, any other natural treatments we come across and continue to pay the remaining vet bill balance as we do whatever possible to give him the best quality of life.
