Hi I'm Nathan and my sweet wife Tanya was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma on August 31st, 2023. Currently she has 2 tumors in her left breast, and the doctors informed us that they were grade 2 tumors. We do not currently know the stage of cancer, but we will told we would know after surgery. Tanya is such a kind and caring person and will give you the shirt off her back never thinking of herself but always giving love to others. She is a stay at home mom to our 11-year-old autistic son Dylan and she is a such loving and patient mother. As she is his full time caretaker and teacher we only have my income to live off. We have chosen to live a simple lifestyle because it means a very good start for Dylan. Unfortunately, she does not have health insurance and with her new diagnosis we are struggling to stay afloat.
Her oncologist said she needs immediate surgery to remove tumors. They will be doing a lymph node test during the surgery to find out if my cancer has spread. Based on the results from the tests he will decide her next steps of treatment. Currently we are looking at 10 to 15 years of Hormone therapy. This treatment can run from $200 to $500 a month for the medication. There is also a possibility she will also have to undergo Chemotherapy and/or Radiation therapy if the cancer has spread. Increasing the range of treatment to $1000 to $12,000 a month. This is not including any of the medical supplies needed. This is going to be a very long and exhaustive journey for her, and we can’t even imagine how significant all of the expenses could turn out to be. One of my wife's favorite quotes is " It takes a village" so I am reaching out to ask for help for my wife and our family to help us get through this very difficult time.
Her surgery is scheduled for October 6, 2023. The surgeons are doing a full double mastectomy and full reconstructive surgery, afterwards I will be recovering 6 to 8 weeks.
Thank you for reading our story and any and all donations will be greatly appreciated. All funds will go directly to her medical needs. If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign and keeping her in your thoughts and prayers will be forever cherished.
