In January 2025, I found a lump in my left breast. I immediately scheduled a mammogram and was told it was nothing to worry about, most likely a blocked milk duct. I tried to move forward, trusting what I was told. Months later, everything changed when I received a letter recommending that I return for an ultrasound.

Living on the island of St. Croix has its challenges, especially when it comes to medical care. I was told the ultrasound machine was down for weeks, and then that there was no technician available to operate it. After waiting far too long, I finally took a day trip to St. Thomas on May 28th just to get the testing done.

After reviewing my results, the doctor immediately recommended a biopsy; both on the lump in my breast and the lymph nodes on the left side. On June 5th, the day after my son’s 11th birthday, I completed the biopsy.

Three weeks later, on June 26th, my doctor called me in "as soon as possible." My heart dropped. I went in right away… and my worst fear became my reality. I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

My first thought was my children my 11 year old son and my 3 year old daughter. They have already endured the unimaginable, losing both of their paternal grandparents to cancer within one year. My son, who is autistic, hears the word “cancer” and thinks “death.” Having that conversation with him was the hardest moment of my life.

Since my diagnosis, I’ve undergone countless tests and procedures. I recently completed my 4th round of chemotherapy, and it has taken a toll on me physically, mentally, and emotionally. Between the painful side effects and the changes happening to my body, it’s hard to recognize myself at times. My 4th chemotherapy session was on December 8th, 2025. Now that chemotherapy is complete, I’m preparing for a double mastectomy, reconstructive surgery, and radiation.

Through everything, I continue to pray, believing that God will cover me and turn this test into my testimony. I am fighting with everything in me not just for myself, but for my babies who still need their mom.

I am humbly asking for your support...
Medical costs, travel expenses, treatment, surgeries, & recovery supplies. Any amount you can give will help lighten the financial burden and allow me to focus on healing and being strong for my children.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my story, for praying for me, and for supporting me in this fight.
Please keep me and my babies in your prayers.
