Helping my long-time friend Lisa get back on her feet! Urgent support needed!
The Story: A Series of Hard Hits
My incredible friend, Lisa, is a dedicated single parent to her wonderful kids. She has been working tirelessly to keep their life stable, but a recent unexpected job loss has created a critical situation.
Two years ago, Lisa faced the devastating experience of eviction. Since then, she secured a new apartment—a major victory—but it came with a higher price tag. To make matters harder, her rent has been increased twice in the past year, constantly pushing her budget to the breaking point.
The Setback
Lisa knew she needed more income to keep up, so she bravely sought a higher-paying, full-time role. She landed a new job and was thrilled to finally gain some breathing room.
Tragically, just before her 6-month probationary period ended, she was suddenly let go. While we haven't received a clear reason, we suspect it was due to company budget cuts. This unexpected loss has pulled the rug out from under her, leaving her with no full-time income while she was still relying on it to catch up.
She continues to hustle with side gig delivery work and a part-time job, but it is simply not enough right now.
The Critical Needs
Beyond the immediate crisis of lost wages, Lisa is also dealing with significant financial stress from other essentials:
Car Troubles: Her reliable but aging car (12 years old, over 200,000 miles) is constantly needing expensive repairs, and she is still making payments on it. This car is her livelihood for both work and transporting her kids.
Catching Up: She is currently behind on essential bills and household expenses.
Our Goal
We are aiming to raise $10,000 to give Lisa and her kids a temporary safety net. This amount will cover approximately 2 months of rent and utilities, allow her to address urgent car repairs, and give her the necessary time to secure a stable, new job without the paralyzing fear of losing everything.
How You Can Help
Every single dollar helps her breathe easier and focus on her job search instead of worrying about eviction or her car breaking down.
