I come to you today with a heavy heart but also with unwavering hope and determination. My sister, Peggy is facing the toughest challenge of her life – as you know, a battle against cancer for the last two years.

Peggy is not just a sister to me; she is my best friend and a beam of light, a source of strength, and a warrior through and through. Her spirit has always been stubborn, but cancer has presented a challenging obstacle. Despite the relentless treatments, the driving to and from the exhausting chemotherapy sessions, daunting radiation, and the countless hospital visits, she continues to fight with grace, resilience, and still has a smile on her face.

But even the strongest warriors need support. Our family has rallied around Peg with unwavering love and solidarity. Her husband, Jeff, stands by her side as her rock, offering devoted support and love through every twist and turn of this journey. Their son, Zac, embodies his mother's strength and courage, providing her with moments of joy and inspiration even in the darkest of times.

Peggy’s mother Jenny has been a pillar of strength, offering her selfless love and support. All of Peg’s family offers their endless prayers and comforting presence which have provided solace and strength to her throughout this challenging journey.

In addition to her immediate family, countless friends, neighbors, and acquaintances have come forward to offer their support. Whether it is a kind word, a warm meal, or a heartfelt prayer, each gesture of kindness has lifted Peggy’s spirits and reminded her that she is not alone in this fight.

As part of Peggy’s next battle, she will be undergoing another round of radiation and having an extensive surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. Through this ordeal, the financial burden weighs heavily on her and our family. Medical bills, treatments, and everyday expenses have placed a significant strain on us all.
