FIGHTING AGAINST AML WITH DANA

Please help us raise money to support Dana ferree's fight against acute myeloid leukemia. Dana is an amazing dad, husband, son, brother, pappy and father in law any one could ask for. Dana drives truck for a small company and even though his boss is a kind caring Christian man he does not have the best health insurance or benefits. Sunday November 13 he came to york hospital and unexpectedly found out he had a bad case of aml. After about 5 days cancer care decided to ship him to hershey for a second opinion and because hershey is a transplant facility. Dana has been fighting a bad case of pneumonia and due to his white blood cells being compromised he is having a hard time beating this. This has delayed his chemotherapy. Finally the dr's decided we have to start chemotherapy. Dana received his first treatment on Saturday. He will be done by friday December 2. Than he will begin his recovery. After 2 weeks they will check his bone marrow than check it again in 2 more weeks. We don't no much more about the remainder of his treatment at this time due to waiting for a chromosome test to Tell what type we are dealing with we do know that when Dana will be released he will have to be 30 minutes from hershey. The dr's did say they expect him to be in about 2-3 weeks after chemotherapy to recover from the first chemo round. Currently everyday Dana is fighting fevers due to the pneumonia. Some days are better than others and we're trying very hard to keep his spirits up. We are trying to raise money to help with medical expenses, traveling back and forth for his wife sue as well as when he is released and needs to go back routinely. We are also raising money to help with their mortgage payments and household bills. Dana has a wonderful job but he has no benefits which means no money is coming in. Please anything will help and anything will be greatly appreciated. If you can't donate money please pray for him to keep fighting and to kick cancer in the butt!
