Six years ago, I heard the words no one ever wants to hear: you have a cancerous mass. Through faith, determination, and the incredible support of my family, friends, and school community, I faced it head-on. I fought. I healed. I returned to the classroom I love.
Now, I am facing this battle for the second time.
Being diagnosed again with a cancerous mass in my head has been overwhelming and frightening—but it has also reminded me of how resilient the human spirit can be. As a teacher, I spend my days encouraging my students to be brave when things feel hard, to keep going when learning feels impossible, and to believe in themselves even when the outcome is uncertain. Today, I am leaning into those same lessons.
This journey will require extensive medical care, treatments, and time away from the classroom while I focus on healing. Unfortunately, it also brings significant medical expenses that go beyond what insurance will cover. I am starting this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden of mounting medical bills so that I can focus fully on what matters most—fighting, healing, and returning to the students and community I care so deeply about.
I have always believed that strength is not about never falling—it’s about rising every single time you do. This diagnosis does not define me. It will not take away my purpose. And it will not take away my hope.
If you feel led to support, whether through a donation, a prayer, or simply sharing this page, please know that it means more than words can express. Your kindness will help carry me through this fight once again.
I am ready to face this. And I am determined to win.
