Fighting a legal battle against malicious case
Donation protected
I don’t even know where to begin I am so beyond my capabilities to do anything, so heartbroken and so I reach out to community. Some of you know the complexities of my family’s situation but a quick summary is that my family has been trapped overseas for years due to a malicious court case meant specifically to ban him from travel and have his passport flagged. I’ve spent hours trying to write it down and came up empty so here it is in the words of my father:
Hi, my name is Tago, and next to me is my wife, Viola. We are currently stuck in a Middle Eastern country and unable to leave because of trumped-up charges brought against me by a former employer.
The legal system here is such that an employer can take arbitrary actions that block one's ability to move to another job or even depart the country, regardless of qualifications and experience.
This country has been home to us and our children for the last 21 years and never thought that we could experience the suffering we have gone through over the last 4 years. It all started going downhill after I resigned from my employment position and started a business in early 2019. Immediately this happened, my former employer, whom I had a good working relationship with previously, immediately filed cases against me that have tied me to the legal system since then, which among other things, does not allow me to leave the country. These difficult circumstances forced us in 2023 to sell the business to not only carry on with the legal process but to also have money to live on. We have already exhausted our resources fighting this matter, and need additional financial help to complete the legal process so that we clear our name, and get out of the country.
In addition to this, Viola was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer for which she has had chemo and radiation therapy, she is still undergoing treatment, but thank God that the cancer is in recession.
We will appreciate whatever help we can get.
Thank you.”
currently I’m hoping just to cover the legal fees which will be between $5000- $6000 as well as enough to keep my parents housed as they continue this battle which at a minimum would be another 2 months
please share far and wide.
love always
