Fighting a Good Fight with Shelley

Our friend Shelley went from being able to teach her students to a shocking diagnosis of Lung Cancer. She is currently undergoing aggressive treatments. Her medication alone is costing over $1,500 a month. This doesn't include the additional medical supplies and bills that continue to come in daily. Her husband's job requires that he frequently travel but now he needs to be home to care for her. This has caused significant reduction in income to pay the needed expense as well as the cost of basic living.

Shelley has always been a giver and a person that loves to reach out and help others in the community. She enjoyed teaching and interacting with her students while working at St. Joseph Catholic School. In 2020 she began teaching at Corryville Catholic School and worked until she became ill in September and received the Stage 4 lung cancer diagnosis. Before becoming ill, she was also very involved with her Zeta Phi Beta sister and attends Quinn Chapel AME church in Forest Park.

We know that she is loved by family, friends and the community. She truly appreciates all the love. prayers and support that has been received. Shelley needs our continued support! Many people have asked what they can do. Monetary donations are needed and would be an absolute blessing to help offset the large amount of expenses that come with her care. Any amount from the smallest to the largest is greatly appreciated and not taken lightly.
