Hi, I’m Savannah—Keely’s sister-in-law and Tristen’s sister—and I’m reaching out with the most important ask I’ve ever made.
Keely is a 27 year old mother of four. She’s the kind of woman who bakes the birthday cakes, stays up all night when her babies are sick, and somehow manages to carry everyone else even when she’s exhausted. But now… she can’t even carry herself.
In January, after giving birth to her fourth baby, Keely received an epidural during labor—and something went terribly wrong. She developed a spinal fluid leak that went undiagnosed. Since then, her body has been falling apart in ways none of us could have imagined.
She is now suffering from intracranial hypotension, a condition where the fluid around the brain leaks out, causing the brain to literally sink within the skull. Her latest MRI shows terrifying signs:
A partially empty sella (a hollow space in her brain that should be full)
Brain sag, where gravity is pulling her brain downward
Swollen optic nerves, making her vision unstable and painful
And possible compression of her brainstem, which controls vital functions like breathing and heart rate
She also lives with hEDS (hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome)—a genetic condition that makes her tissue fragile and healing incredibly difficult. It’s like her body is unraveling, and she’s being left behind by the very system meant to help.
She is in constant, crushing pain. Her head throbs like it’s going to explode. She can’t look side to side. She can’t bend over. Her neck barely moves. Her speech has changed. Her head jerks involuntarily. She struggles to hold a phone, let alone her baby. And that—that—is what breaks her the most.
Keely just wants to hold her baby again. She wants to pick up a toy. Fold laundry. Look around without pain. She wants to be a mother in motion, not a woman trapped in stillness. Her soul is still fighting—but her body is failing her.
She’s been to ERs and seen specialists who have dismissed her, told her it’s anxiety, told her it’s postpartum. But it’s not. Her scans show the truth. And while the doctors argue, she’s getting worse.
My brother Tristen had to quit his job to care for her and the kids. They’ve lost everything—income, stability, security. They’re trying to survive on empty while Keely lies in bed, hoping someone will finally say, “Yes. I believe you. Let’s fix this.”
So I’m asking—for her, for them, for our whole family:
Please help.
Your donation will go toward:
Rent, groceries, and gas to keep their family afloat
Medical supplies and travel to specialists
Basic needs while Tristen cares for Keely full-time
The hope of finally getting treatment for a condition that is stealing her life
If you’ve ever watched someone you love slowly fade while no one listens—then you understand.
Keely doesn’t want a miracle. She just wants to move her neck. To hold her baby without crying out in pain. To be the mom, partner, and woman she was before this nightmare began.
Please help us bring her back.
If you would like to donate more directly, her Cashapp is $lovejano
