In September 2015, Whitney Major was just around the corner from welcoming her first child to this earth. It was during this joyous time that the Major family received incredibly devestating news. Whitney's husband, Eric, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer.

Shortly after the birth of their beautiful baby girl,  Eric was admitted to Duke University Hospital for surgery to remove the tumor. Even though the doctors were able to safely remove nearly 75% of the tumor, it grew back at an alarming rate. Eric, a born fighter, underwent both chemotherapy and radiation treatments. These grueling treatments left Eric wheelchair bound - unable to perform daily activities without assistance. As a new mom and caregiver for her sick husband, Whitney found herself unable to return to work as a labor and delivery nurse.

Sadly, despite treatment, the cancer has spread. At this time, the family has made the difficult decision to stop curative care and focus instead on comfort care for Eric.

In an effort to show our support for Whitney and Eric, we are asking for donations. The money will be used to support the Major family and help pay hospital bills.
