Do you know a teenage girl who could use a physical and emotional outlet? Young women today need to feel secure, valued, and confident. Boxing is a great way to build confidence, strength, and body awareness.
The FightHER Project is an all-girls summer boxing program designed to uplift and empower high school girls in Chicago through high quality boxing training and mental health and wellness strategies. The program has three primary goals: 1) to provide an opportunity for teen girls to learn their potential in a combat sport that is typically male dominant, 2) to encourage positive coping strategies for the emotional toll of the pandemic, and 3) to promote cultural representation through fitness training by coaches from different cultural backgrounds.
Proceeds will cover the cost of the program for 12 athletes ($2500 for all equipment and classes). Additional proceeds will go towards FightHER Project attire and programming for the fall. With your support, we can make this program completely FREE for 12 teen girls!
*Please be aware we are NOT a 501(c)(3) and therefore any support or sponsorship opportunity is NOT tax deductible at this time. We are so excited to watch this program flourish and get the necessary credentials so next time around your support will be tax deductible.
