Our mother Tracy has been battling cancer for about three years. Although her diagnosis is terminal, she has been very strong the whole time. While on a short road trip style vacation with our dad last week, she became severely ill and was hospitalized in Layton, UT. On top of complications with her cancer, we have been told that she has severe bacterial pneumonia. That infection has caused multiple side effects, one being a catatonic, unresponsive state. Doctors in Utah believe she needs to be transferred to back to Colorado to receive more care from her own Oncologist. Sadly, our medical insurance is blocking the out of state air-evacuation transfer. While researching our options we have found limited answers, but all require upfront costs that our family is unable to pay.
The time has come to ask for help! Our immediate family rushed to Utah to be there for mom. We need to return to Colorado for work and other responsibilities and we cannot leave her here alone. Mom may never return to her former self, but we need to get her home as soon as possible. When the time comes, we also want friends and family to be able to say their goodbyes.
Anything you can give to help is appreciated. From our family to yours, thank you and god bless. Keep those prayers coming, Tracy needs them now more than ever.
If her condition changes for the better, and we are praying for this outcome, any donations will be donated to charity.
