We are raising money for the family of Florence Olomon. She lost her battle against COVID-19 on December 22. She fought long and she fought HARD. To say she will be missed is such an understatement. She was simply amazing. ❤️ Here is an update from Ashley & Sarah:
Services for our precious, momma, Florence Olomon will be next weekend at Murphy Funeral home in Mount Pleasant Iowa. Visitation will be Friday January 15th from 4-7pm & the funeral will be Saturday January 16th at 11am. Masks are required. Burial to follow. A memorial has been established. It still doesn’t seem real & we can’t believe she’s gone. We love her so much & wish we could have her back with us for many more years. #fightforflo..............................................................................................................................................................................................................................Florence started feeling ill the beginning of November and was hospitalized in Mt.Pleasant on the 24th and then transferred to Mercy in Iowa City on the 29th, where she was put on a ventilator. We are still hoping and praying for a miracle so she can live the long, happy life she so much deserves. But, while she is fighting, medical bills are stacking up, traveling expenses for their family are adding up, and work is being missed while bills keep coming in. So, if we can help relieve some of their financial burden, that would be wonderful! Money is the last thing the family should have to worry about. They need to be together and they need to be there with Florence.
Now I'd like to tell you a little about Florence. She is a mother, wife, sister, grandmother and everyone's friend! She ALWAYS has a smile on her face. She loves country music and line dancing. She loves working at Old Threshers every year. She has also worked at Mt.Pleasant City Hall for 47 years and planned to wait a couple more years to retire. After retiring her plans are to travel and spend time with loved ones. She is such a dedicated and hard worker who loves what she does and loves the people she works with. Florence is the Heart of the City of Mt. Pleasant.
Family is most important to Florence. But the thing is, she is loved by so many! She has her work family, Old Threshers family, Country Music family and many friends. Florence's husband, Don; her two daughters, Ashley Olomon and Sarah Moss; her son-in-law, Skyler and her precious grandchildren, Brady, Sloan and Jagger, they are her ENTIRE WORLD!!! They aren't just family, they are best friends.
