PJ's Rally Against Cancer
Donation protected
I started this campaign to raise money for medical bills, for my cousin PJ Hart. Everyone who knows PJ, knows that he is extremely kind and generous. He would do anything for anyone, which is why I am hoping we can all do a little something for him!
PJ is an amazing 19-year-old, born and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He is extremely family oriented and comes from a large Italian and Irish background. PJ has two brothers, Dillon and Josh, who he loves spending time with, as well as his high school sweetheart, Olivia.
PJ is a graduate of West Scranton High School, where he played football, and was the co-captain of the baseball and basketball teams, as well as a member of the National Honor Society. Eventually PJ went on to attend Penn State University - Worthington Campus, where he also played basketball. He also enjoyed working at Vitali's Market in Scranton.
Unfortunately, these past few years he has been fighting a battle with cancer. He has had surgical procedures and several rounds of chemotherapy. This has prevented him from doing many of the things that he loves, and has forced him to put a halt to his education.
However, PJ remains extremely optimistic, and he plans to return to Penn State to finish his college education next fall.
On October 26th, 2016, PJ will undergo an intensive surgery at the Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. This procedure is known as a retroperitoneal lymph node dissection, which will hopefully lead to a victorious end to his fight once and for all.
As a medical professional myself, I know all too well the outrageous cost of continuous blood work, imaging studies, surgeries, and hospital stays. It would be so wonderful if we could help take away some of this burden from PJ and his family, so that it can hopefully lead to a stress free recovery process!
