Thanks to your wonderful support with our first goal (3,600 euro), we can now provide the 3000 women we intend to screen for cervical cancer with an important incentive: a reusable sanitary pad with an information leaflet on cervical cancer screening procedure.

If we reach our fundraising goal, your donations will provide one free sanitary pad and an information leaflet on cervical cancer screening for 3000 women that we intend to screen for cervical cancer in Uasin Gishu County, Kenya. Help us to increase the participation in cervical cancer screening and financially support the women at WA-WA Kenya who produce the menstrual pad. Any donation is welcome!

Last year my team and I kick-started a social intrapreneurship initiative and non-profit organization to help prevent cervical cancer, the leading cause of cancer death in women in Kenya, by providing education and health tools for early diagnosis.

What do we want to achieve with our 1-year pilot project and how?

train 20 community health volunteers on sexual health and cervical cancer
equip 5 rural clinics and train healthcare workers
screen 3,000 women for cervical cancer in Uasin Gishu County and provide a 6 months health insurance for follow-up treatments

Thanks to our corporate sponsors and our local partner in Kenya, AMPATH (https://www.ampathkenya.org/), who will provide the infrastructure and personnel to take over the practical part of our initiative, we are ready for the kick-off!
