On January 11th, we found out that mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. Nothing can ever prepare you for hearing those words. But, we know that this is not a death sentence. We will fight this, and we will win.

After the diagnosis, she has faced a series of setbacks that have extended her surgery date to March 3rd, and prevented her from being able to work. From her mother passing away unexpectedly, to her being hospitalized for a week after a fall at home where was diagnosed with COVID-19 and pneumonia, to a recent diagnosis of liver cirrhosis, she continues to push through and persevere not allowing anything to hold her back.

Mom is currently at home going through physical therapy treatments regaining her strength and learning how to use a walker. She is also slowly finding her appetite while navigating a salt-less diet. She is determined to get as healthy as possible before surgery!

Mom has always been everyone's mom. She has given her life to being of service to her family, friends, and everyone that knows her. If you know her, you know how strong willed she is, and that she would be the last person to ever ask for help which is why we are doing this. We are so grateful for the support of flowers, meals, thoughts, and prayers that you all have shown to us and our mom throughout this journey.
