Help Wendy Kick Cancer!

My name is Angela and I am creating this account on behalf of myself and my staff for our co-worker Wendy Lawhon.  Wendy is a 42 year old, single mother of one, who has worked as a full time medical assistant in the OB/Gyn field for 14 years.  In mid December 2015, Wendy discovered a breast mass.  After diagnostic testing and a biopsy she was told that she has stage 2 breast cancer.  She most recently had an MRI done to insure that her cancer has not spread anywhere else in the body.  Once those results are given she will meet with an Oncologist to begin Chemotherapy and make plans for surgery.

This diagnosis was a total shock to Wendy since she has no family history of breast cancer.  The last few weeks have been a whirlwind for her and with treatment beginning in January, she faces a rough start to 2016.  We want to help ease her mind by raising money to help with her medical expenses.  Wendy has insurance. However, the physicians and facilities who will be providing care for her require that her deductible and co-insurance are paid prior to services.  This alone is stressful and something we feel Wendy shouldn't worry about during treatment.  Our goal is to raise $10,000.00 to cover her medical expenses and help with her personal finances while she is off work.
