Darcy GoFundMe

Hello everyone! We are doing this fundraising for our beautiful strong friend, daughter, sister, wife and mother Darcy (Nickerson) Giacomuzzi who was diagnosed with Breast Cancer on 8/12/2021.

Due to the aggressive nature of the cancer, her team of Dr’s had to go in front of the cancer board in Boston to get approval for her chemotherapy treatment regimen. Very aggressive cancer = very aggressive chemo/ followed by a double mastectomy surgery. (The treatment they’re using was just FDA approved July 26th, 2021). With the severity of being immune compromised and the treatment schedule, the doctors recommended she not work during chemotherapy treatment as it is too dangerous. Her schedule will consist of countless doctor visits, chemotherapy, CT scans, MRIs, biopsies, bone scans, gene testing and more which will be financially strapping , all while out of work .

Our mission is to raise funds beyond what short-term will be providing to assist her & her family financially in what is going to be a long, difficult recovery that should have her out of work the better part of a year.
